In mid-2007, a cracking group released an "Office 2007 Enterprise Blue Edition", which has since circulated on the internet. The group claims it to exist an edition available only to original equipment manufacturers. The package contains the whole of component software except Accounting Express and Communicator. The "Blue Edition" contains ~t one EULA, and does not require a product key or activation. In truth, this "Blue Edition" is simply a> copy of Enterprise Edition that has been slipstreamed through a product key, and the EULA bypassed. In December 2008 Microsoft warned that this was not a unaffected product and initiated lawsuits against a number of individuals who allegedly distributed copies online.
